(WED) July 1, 2009: SUSPENSION OF CLASSES DUE TO INFLUENZA A(H1N1)
The Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) has officially confirmed three (3) cases of students positive with Influenza A (H1N1) in DLSZ as of today, July 1, 2009. With the recommendation of the DOH officials and pursuant to the revised Interim Guidelines issued by DOH on Response Level Systems in Schools and Mitigation Response to Influenza A (H1N1) Virus Infection, please be informed that the classes in all levels in DLSZ are suspended beginning Thursday, July 2, 2009. The members of the faculty and selected staff need not report to school during this period of suspension. All major school activities slated for July 2-5, 2009 are indefinitely postponed. The school will be conducting a thorough surveillance of the school facilities for disinfection and closely review and monitor the medical records referred to the school clinic since the beginning of the school year. Known to his fellow Christian Brothers and friends, as well as students, alumni, parents, and employees of De La Salle schools in the Philippines, as a motivational storyteller, Br. Cecilio Montelibano Hojilla FSC was laid to rest on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the De La Salle Brothers’ Memorial Cloister, La Salle Novitiate in Lipa City, Batangas.

9TH DAY NOVENA MASS FOR BR. CECI HOJILLA FSC
Everyone is invited to attend the 9th day novena mass for Bro. Ceci on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 4:30 in the afternoon at the Sylvia P. Lina Theater of De La Salle Santiago Zobel.Reception will follow at the CPA lobby and the cafeteria after the mass.
CLASSES IN GS AND HS DEPARTMENTS STILL SUSPENDED (JUNE 25)
The Department of Education (DepEd) and the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) have announced that classes in the Grade School and High School levels of schools in Metro Manila are suspended today, Thursday, June 25, 2009 due to Typhoon Feria (Nangka). Today, the Lasallian Family in the Philippines will celebrate the funeral mass for Br. Ceci Hojilla FSC in La Salle Green Hills at 9:00AM. His remains will be brought to the Brothers Memorial Cloister in Lipa City, Batangas right after the mass. Please continue to pray for his repose. Farewell Br. Ceci!... Classes in De La Salle Zobel are suspended today Wednesday, June 24, 2009 due to Tropical Storm Feria (Nangka) with Metro Manila under Public Storm Signal #2. Memorial Mass for Br. Ceci at 4:30PM today (June 24) in De La Salle Zobel is postponed indefinitely.

Cecilio Montelibano Hojilla FSC due to cardiac arrest.His wake is now being held at the National Shrine of the Divine Child in La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) until Thursday, June 25, 2009.Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23, 2009, classes will be SUSPENDED and all offices will be closed to give way to all members of the DLSZ community to pay their last respects to Br.
