A new district-wide network of Lasallian Schools known as De La Salle Philippines(DLSP) has been launched and disseminated to the 18-member schools nationwide.

DLSZ CELEBRATES 31ST FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY, NOV.16-21, 2009
From November 16-21, 2009, De La Salle Santiago Zobel will be holding various exciting activities in celebration of its 31st Foundation Anniversary or what is commonly referred to as the Vision-Mission Week. Dubbed "Animosphere: Rise to the 31st Year", the celebration hopes to promote school pride and rekindle camaraderie among the different sectors of the school. Spearheaded by the Student Representative Coordinating Council (SRCC), the much-awaited celebration is also well-supported by the administration, the DLSZ Parents Association, and the DLSZ Alumni Association.

Everyone is invited to watch the Pacquiao-Cotto World Championship Fight on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the DLSZ's Sylvia P. Lina Theater starting at 8:00 in the morning. Preliminary fights or the undercard will also be shown.

JOHANNAH PE BENITO TRIUMPHS IN INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON COMPETITION
Young triathlete and DLSZ’s own Johannah Pe Benito (DLSZ 2011) claimed her first international medal as she finished third in the 2009 Hong Kong ITU Triathlon Premium Race Asian Cup held in Hong Kong last October 25, 2009.

It was reported that Johannah rallied from fourth place after the swim leg with strong showings in the bike and run event to finish behind two Hong Kong triathletes.

AMABEL SUMABAT (DLSZ 2014) BAGS A BRONZE MEDAL IN BADMINTON
Congratulations to Amabel Sumabat of Grade 7-I for winning a bronze medal in Badminton during the 3rd Asean Primary Schools Sports Olympiad held last November 3-8, 2009 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

BENJAMIN RAMOS LEADS DLSZ JUNIOR TANKERS TO 2ND RUNNER-UP IN THE OVER-ALL BOYS DIVISION IN THE 72ND UAAP SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Benjamin Ramos (DLSZ 2010) bagged two gold medals - one for individual event and one for 4x50 Freestyle Relay – while Miguel Velarde (DLSZ 2010), Donn Almera(2013), and Theodore Yap (DLSZ2012) each won gold medals for the 4x50 Freestyle Relay in the 72nd UAAP Swimming Championships held at the Trace Aquatic Sports Complex in Los Baños, Laguna.

DLSZ CELEBRATES NATIONAL BOOK WEEK ON NOVEMBER 16-20
De La Salle Zobel joins the nation in the celebration of the 75th National Book Week from November 16 to 20, 2009. With the theme "Kaaya-ayang Magbasa, sa Kapaligirang Kay Ganda", the celebration of the National Book Week by the different schools and libraries around our country has become a tradition and an event full of activities arousing the interest in books and the love for reading in every student and teacher alike.

The school's Learning Resource Center has come up with exciting and innovative activities that hope to instill in our students, as well as our faculty, the love for reading, the love, care and appreciation of our environment, and the promotion of the LRC facilities, collection and services.

ISABELLA ORTEZA (DLSZ 2015) WINS PCA OPEN JUNIOR TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP
DLSZ takes pride in Isabella Orteza of 6C who won in the most recently concluded 28th PCA (Philippine Columbian Association) Open Junior Tennis Tournament. It was held at the PCA in Paco Manila from October 23-30, 2009.

Isabelle defeated Samantha Um of the International School of Manila with scores 6-1, 6-1 in 12 and under Girls Division.
