THE SOCIAL ACTION OFFICE (SAO) OF DLSZ SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR ITS VARIOUS PROJECTS

HELP US PLANT TREES AND CLEAN UP THE COASTS!!!The SAO enjoins all green-minded Lasallians and friends to support the One Million Trees Project of the Lasallian Institute for the Environment (LIFE) and the coastal clean up of identified areas during the months of August and September. In its bid to support the project, De La Salle Zobel has committed to plant 30,000 trees each year from 2009 to 2011.
The schedule and areas for tree-planting and coastal cleanup are as follows:Aug. 8, 2009 Eton Properties, Canlubang
Aug. 22, 2009 Balite Watershed Reforestation Project, Amadeo, Cavite
Aug. 29, 2009 Ilog Ni Maria, Silang, Cavite
Sept. 19, 2009 Coastal Clean Up, Cavite
Sept. 26, 2009 Malarayat and/or Calatagan
JOIN OUR “SULONG-ARAL SA CALATAGAN” The SAO is also in need of volunteers to (A) train Public School Teachers in specified areas and (B) distribute school supplies to and interact with school children of Santiago Zobel Elementary School and the other schools in Calatagan, Batangas that are being supervised by the Enrique Zobel Foundation, Inc. The Team A Volunteers will be handling the given topics following the schedule below whereas the Team B Volunteers will be distributing supplies and interacting with the children on all the dates.Aug. 15, 2009 - Teacher Training on Library Management
Sept. 12, 2009 - Teacher Training on Arts & Crafts
