CONGRATULATIONS TO ERIC OLIVAREZ, JR. FOR WINNING JUNIOR TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP IN SOUTH LUZON

Eric Olivarez, Jr. (DLSZ 2015) emerged champion in the 12 years and under of the South Luzon leg of the 2009 Milo Junior Tennis Cup-Malaysia Edition held on August 1-2 and 8-9 at San Beda Alabang. He will compete against the other regional champions from North Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao for the right to represent the country in the 2009 Milo-Perlis International Juniors in Kangar State, Malaysia from Dec. 5-9, 2009. The national champions of the 10, 12, and 14 years divisions will form the Philippine team that will compete in the said tournament. Other Malaysia legs are scheduled in Selangor from Nov. 24-28, in Penang from Nov. 30-Dec. 4 and in Langkawi from Dec. 10-14.Last year, Eric was the Philippine representative in the 10 years and under after beating the other champions from other regions. He was able to win 4 bronze medals for the singles and doubles in the said division after joining only the Langkawi and Perlis legs.
