DLSZ HOLDS ANTI-POVERTY FORUMS
October 15, 2009


As a way of empowering our generation of young Lasallians to take a more proactive role in society, De La Salle Zobel School through the initiative of the Social Studies Department held three simultaneous forums entitled “Sulong Lasalyano, Ituloy ang Pagbabago!” on Friday, October 16, 2009. This activity was also the school’s way of promoting the United Nation’s Millenium Development Goals one of which is to eradicate poverty by 2015.
The forum, which was preceded by a film showing of Laban: The Meaning of EDSA, was graced by distinguished guests.

Forum 1
Guest Speaker: ATTY. ALEX LACSON, author of the popular book “12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do to Help Our Country”
Audience: Grade 6 and 7 students and teachers
Time: 9:50AM – 11:50AM
Venue: Sylvia P. Lina Theater










Forum 2
Guest Speaker: MS. SALLY JO BELOSILLO, Film Maker & Producer, Caelestis Production, Inc.
Audience: First Year & Second Year High School students & teachers
Time: 1:15PM – 3:30PM
Venue: Debbie Decena Auditorium

Forum 3
Guest Speaker: MS. LORETA ANN ROSALES, Former Akbayan Representative, and MR. RENATO DE VILLA, Former Defense Secretary
Audience: Third Year & Fourth Year High School students & teachers
Time: 1:15PM – 3:30PM
Venue: Sylvia P. Lina Theater
